Filet Mignon with Mountain Cheese Sauce, served with mashed potatoes


1 Filet Mignon

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 clove garlic


60g queijo da serra cheese

100ml cream

Salt and Pepper


1kg boiling potatoes


2 tablespoons butter

200ml cream


30-40 min.




1. Put a frying pan on the heat with the olive oil with the crushed garlic.

When the oil is very hot, brown the meat on both sides.

Season with salt and pepper and let the steak rest for about 1 minute.

2. In the same skillet, add the Sierra cheese diluted with the cream and cook for about 2 minutes, stirring constantly.

3. Place the peeled and cut potatoes in a pot, cover with water, season with salt and bring to the boil.

When the potatoes are cooked, drain the water well and then mash them all with a fork.

Add the butter and cream and mix everything together very well.

4. Serve the Filet Mignon with cheese sauce from the serra, accompanied by mashed potatoes.
